got a call.  no one answered when i picked up.  dialed the number and recieved the message that the number has been disconnected.

I have been getting the same calls for almost 9 months.  Being that I work for a credit card company, I know that this area code is well known for credit card scams.

It is a scam!  The auto voice tells you that this is a call from your credit card company.  They tell you not to panic because everything is okay with your account.  However, then they tell you that interest rates are going up.  Then they expect you to hold for an operator.  If you naive enough to take the call, you will find that this is an identity theft company.  They want your personal information while you think you'll dealing with someone from your own credit card company.  Your own credit card company will never call you and ask you for personal information.

Just got the call, same scam - "This is your credit card company" blah blah blah.

Total Fraud.
