Mike don't get your hopes too high for the do not call registry. It will not block or stop any of your unwanted calls. It was set up by the FTC in order that legitimate Telemarketing companies would have a list of people who do not wish to be called. That's all. You name will be simply placed on a list that will be used to update Registered Telemarketers files each 30 days. The rest is up to the honor stystem of those Telemarketes. When in reality, those complaints are not valid under the DNC. Some are passed to the FTC or FCC proper for further handling. Most callers, including the one that you are dealing with now, will not be affected by the DNC. Many seem to believe that the DNC will give them immunity to all unwanted calls. It will not. It is only a list for Telemarketers.
The FTC defines a Telemarketing as: Telephone sales of goods or services
