"AFC" stands for American Federation for Children. It is lead by Betty De Vos. She is President Trump's nominee for Secretary of Education. She is a conservative Christian that supports school choice otherwise known as school vouchers. Guns in school are important to her for the defense of the children against bears that might appear on campus.

Got a call from this number today (10/11/2015) at around 3 PM Mountain Time.  Caller ID was "Out of area 1-303-993-0107".   Since I didn't recognize the number (and I don't trust "Out of area" calls), I let it roll thru to voice mail.   It turned out to be a political robocall from "Kristin with Conservation Colorado" leaving a message asking people to call in and provide their email address.  Fat chance I would EVER do that!   Added their number to my Call Block List.

The voice mail left (after the third call to my landline today) asked people to support the organization's effort to keep the conservative Koch brothers from buying up large parcels of open space and protected lands (through trades) for commercialization in Colorado. Don't know why they need my email address for this effort, though!

I just got a call from AFC. No message was left. I never answer the phone anymore because there are too many scams and charities calling and it's a waste of my time.
