I got a call yesterday from 303-951-4749, Steven James calling from the fraud division of district 217. He said my name and case are now being downloaded in "your" county today for further litigations. It is necessary to have to pursue me over all of the allegations. He wanted me to call immediately...preferably before the allegations are actually filed. But, he left a different number to call back. 720-496-4250.
Then today I got a call from Cheryl McCray stating, "I'm working on a case that may involve your name as well as your social security number. Legal documentation was sent to your home that requires your immediate response however we have not heard from you. This will be the last attempt to reach you before legal complications take place. Good Luck."
I pay my bills and never had any trouble so I called very worried. She had my name, social security number, date of birth, address and driver's license number. She stated I owed money for a PAY DAY loan which I had never took out. I asked her what the name of the company was so I can call to see where they got my information and she would not tell me and kept talking over me and stated she could not give out of client's information. She wanted me to send certified funds without any proof that I actually took out a loan. CRAZY. She stated that she would send my information to the county and let the district attorney handle it. When I told her that I work for the district attorney in my county, she placed me on hold and came back and said, what are you doing? Are you going to pay? I told her no and she hung up....I am filing a complaint today.
