constant calling, when i answer no one there, call back number recording states verizon number no longer in service something need to be done about these lowlifes

I get calls from this number. No one is ever on the line and I have not called the number back. This has been going off and on for several months. Sometimes once a day, sometimes several times a day. Very annoying. I do not even pick up the phone anymore when that number appears.
