Received phone call from this number.  A voicemail was left saying in some unAmerican voice that they were calling me regarding a legal issue and if i did not respond, they felt sorry for me and wished me luck on the issue.  I tried calling the number back and it goes directly to voicemail.  Is this a scam? I believe so.

This is the scam this person has been calling me from other numbers. Previously he was calling my home, now he is calling my job. This person got my information from the Health Net (IBM lost a hard disk drive with personal information). Every since this event I have been receiving these type of calls.

I received the same call today with the same description. they've actually called me twice. Once yesterday and once today. Whoever called had a strong accent and was really hard to understand. They told me the same thing. They said that I had a legal issues as well, and if I did not call back all they could do was which me luck. I did not call the number back - I'm trying to figure out what to do and how to report the number. Any suggestions???  I have no idea how they got my cell phone number....

Go to the website:  ftc.gov  that is the federal trade commission you can report the harrassing phone calls and all the information to them,  they probably will just compile the numbers but hopefully if enough people complain something will be done.

All you can do is report them to the FCC. It sucks, and they are sooo stupid. I actually wasted my time talking to them for a little while last month, and they said things like my government had blacklisted my name and social security number, and that I would no longer have the option of hiring an attorney, and that I would rot in prison once they were done with me... I laughed at him and told him that this was America and we didn't work that way. Especially with debts that aren't real or true. I have no debt. So anyways, just report them if you can.
