I was given this number to call from an Indian-sounding person claiming to be from Microsoft.  Claimed this number would verify his status as a Microsoft employee who wanted to help me with hacked email account.

Exactly happens to me, (scam #3) call was at 8:30 pm.  Saying was from Microsoft.

I received a call from a accented man who claimed he was from Microsoft and my computer had been hacked and was involved in illegal activities.  Two hours later, a Technician
called and said he was going to fix my computer problem.  I hung up.

Same thing happened to me ,I knew he was full of crap after I got his phone number he asked my age! Really why would Microsoft want my age? Yeah he had an accent but his name was Criss Harris here is the phone number he gave me and his Microsoft account number account number is 1008 phone number 1-302-482-8155 I would love to call him back, but I cannot repeat on line what I would like to tell his stupid [***]!! feel free in case u did,nt get his number, I'm sure it's fake anyway's!!what pisses me off the most is how many of us he did get over on !!GRRRR
