I received a phone call from this number stating they were calling from Microsoft technical support. They said they were receiving error messages from my computer that a hacker was trying to get in. So they were advising me on what to do and we came to a point where he asked to check off a few things and clear them and I became weary. So i ended the call and proceeded to  call Microsoft Windows Support directly. I spoke to someone that stated Microsoft never initiates calls it was a hacker trying to get ahold of the computer ask for payment and when denied shut your computer down. They called back several times after I asked them not too. They also called from phone number 945-896-0210. The 302 # shows a John Berryman.

I received the same phone call this evening - same M.O. - but he tried to get into my pc about a month ago - I told him that I could not allow him access to my pc and he got nasty.  I have his name as Alex Peterson - I highly doubt that is his name - he was distinctly not American and most likely from India.  Don't give them any information or allow them to any access to your computers.  It's a scam!

Received a call from "Alex Peterson", definitely of Indian descent. The number came up as +221  14098. He got testy when I told him I was driving and nowhere near my computer. Glad I read these posts. Make sure I block any further attempts to reach me.

I just got the same thing. How do we report these guys?
