Came in again last night on my unpublished line as "Out of area," even though I live in 301.  I answered, and after a bit some guy came on line, addressed me by name and said he represented the Fraternal Order of Police.  I said "No!" loudly and hung up.  Friends, if the Caller ID is a lie, so is everything else.  Worse, the FOP is using lists of unpublished numbers that are supposed to be available to the police only for emergency purposes.  A con artist is a con artist, whether he's hiding behind a badge or not.  Don't fall for this one.

I didn't answer it, either.  Call came in at 709p as "Out of area" on my unpublished line.  BTW this was the second call I got today from a "fresh" number -- that is, with no record of it here or anywhere.  It's also interesting that the Caller ID said "Out of area," because 301 is my area code.

They called and asked for a Jill Bolden, I told them wrong number. A different guy calls back a few hours later, I told him the same thing. They are now blocked from calling me.
