In my situation, it was a completely legitimate call from the collections agency RPM. Like the other person from Arizona, they had been contacted by SRP about a bill I owed (one that SRP had never told me about after I moved out of my last apartment, making SRP the bad guy here). However, I do agree, the man I spoke to was incredibly rude. Even after I told him I would contact SRP about the situation; he treated me like some ignorant bill-dodger when it was an honest mistake. I would advise that if they tell you that you owe a company money, hang up on RPM and CALL THE COMPANY. If there is a problem, take care of it and tell them to make sure they update RPM on the situation. I had to call SRP twice to get them to call off their dogs, and I'm still getting calls.
