I got hit, too. They left no voice mail here, either. What gives?!!! :-(

voice mail left saying something about a financial litigation service and they were required to contact me being my affidavit was loaded into the county today?   I am 2000 miles away from Maryland--- has to be spam.

Yep.....It's a fraud alright. The old "we're uploading files to your county today" scam. They want you to contact their affidavit councilor to give them money top stop the process. Yeah right, first of all, if they were so called uploading anything to the county or where ever, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO WARN YOU FIRST, THEY'RE JUST GOING TO DO IT. Why the hell would they tell you first so you could run? THEY WOULDN'T! Secondly, NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE & Never affirm anything with the word yes to anything, not even once. To do do just gives them permission to go into your account & flat out rob you.  Companies like these SCUM use fear tactics to get you to comply. No legitimate company isn't going to upload anything anywhere without contacting you by registered mail or a phone call first.

I would suggest investing in a call blocker & block the number from calling you again. It's worth the investment because if you've gotten one call, you'll be getting a lot more because these SCUM sell your number to other SCUM companies that will harass you even further.

All of the sudden I get several of these everyday. So I asked to see proof of any paperwork and I get nothing.
How do you legally go after these people to stop the harassing calls?

Sounds like they're foreign extortionist scammers, in which case, blocking their number(s) is about the only thing you can do.
