This is citibank's credit card fraud hotline. They are calling to alert you to suspicious activity on your card.

I too, got a call from 301-714-5301. I called the customer service number on the statement and they verified that they wanted to verify two transactions I had made.

This number is run by scammers trying to get your credit card number.  I suspect the post above are the same people.  Call the number on the back of your Citi card, or on their website.

I just got a call from the same number but after 2 automated "please hold" notices, it hung up. Went online to see what the number was and people seemed to point to CitiBank. I called CitiBank using the # on the back of the card. They checked their records and they DID NOT call me. Be VERY CAREFUL

This number is from Citibank.  But don't take my word for it. Call the 800 number on the back of your card to verify.  I received a call from this number today to advise that my card number was among a batch of numbers stolen from a merchant's database.  Customer service advised that they were shutting down the account and re-issuing my card.  Again, this was NOT fraud, but don't take my word for it.  Contact your credit card company using their 800 number.
