I saw the number come across but I do not answer any call from an unknown number, I have extensive directory, if they do not leave a message they will never get called back, since thye are listed here they are now blocked.

I thought it was a local phone but it's automated message saying they are from Google Plus. I do have Google Plus but I won't add any service from a phone call.

I picked up, there was no connection (ie, the line didn't engage) and then I got a few beeps from verizon indicating the call was over

Make no mistake this is a misleading telemarking call - not affiliated with Google in any way. They are not GOOGLE PLUS. They are Telemarketers trying to sell additional on-line listing services. Bad actors.
