Caller ID says VEH PROT CTR.  They ask for me by name and describe my 5-year old vehicle.  Wants to sell extension on Vehicle Warranty.  Will want to bill $1,000 to credit card.  It's a scam.

This number is TIME WARNER COMMUNICATIONS OF HOUSTON, L.P.BANDWIDTH.COM CLEC, LLC TX.  
Calls are routed via OCN 7074 on a WECO 5ESS (Digital) switch located in the Houston, Texas area. Phone Number Data for 281783xxxx Numbers: The 281783 exchange is serviced by the following companies within the SHELDON ratecenter. [NOTE:  Sheldon, VT is near US/Canada border near Montreal.]

In addition, I received two previous calls 9799435194 @ 10:05 am on 06-13-14 and from  12-23-2013 from telephone number 9793182230   with same scam

Got call 5:57pm  on 7-16-14, didn't answer. How they no what you drive. They watching you. My truck 13 years old is not in my name. Can't wait tell they call, see what they offer me. I got something to offer them.

These people are extremely rude and obviously being on a "no call list" doesn't matter to them!

Tell them you will deposit the money directly in their account and ask for their bank routing number or credit card number.
