I received a phone call from this number claiming to be calling on behalf of "gmail" stating that my account was being reviewed because they had received more than 50 complaints about spam, with my email account asking for bank account info, etc.  When I questioned the validity of them actually being from gmail/google the guy got very angry, saying if I wouldn't cooperate he had no choice but to forward the information to the "company" and have my account suspended - I was amused as much as annoyed at this point.  I told him I had no idea who he was, I was not going to give any personal info and that I had NOT being doing anything like that (I had been told to stop or it would be suspended lol)...and how exactly was I meant to "cooperate" at which point he then wanted to "verify and ask" a few questions.  The call abruptly disconnected mid sentence.

So far there are no scam hits on this phone number, but to my knowledge Google/gmail does not call people on the phone about things like this and I have received no alerts from gmail directly via email so I'm chalking this one up to phisher/scammer

I got a phone call from the same # saying that he is from yahoo and he also asked questions to 'verify' my identity, and he would not say his name or give the # for yahoo technical support who he claimed he had to forward the info to.  He hung up after asking his name and for the number of yahoo technical support.  Yahoo does not call people for email support.  Its a scam .  beware of this # calling you.

I've received 5 call TODAY! Threatening to block my hotmail (live) email account.  The same explanation that WInter (above) said happened to Him/Her.  This is rediculous!!  My phone is on the National Do Not Call Registry....Guess that doesn't work either!!  Our Governement....isn't it great?  

I got a call from this number and my call blocking app called it "suspected spam" and provided a name of Triconex and this phone number.
