GLC Financial from Florida - some kind of debt collection company that says they have received "paperwork in their office" and it is in regards to possible further action being filed.  

They call and never do anything.

They called today and I saw the call, but didn't answer. Called from a local number, so I figured if it was important then they would leave a message. (I can't answer my phone at work.) It's a very robotic recording saying Hello this is Gerald Metzer and we need to speak with (Name here) immediately today. This is a scam DO NOT SPEAK WITH, CALL BACK, OR ANYTHING. They have called from that number before in the past and it was some other company.

I received many phone calls from 281-694-4523 on a daily basis (on my cell & work number) stating they are from FRS & Associates advising they are needing to collect a debt.  They then ask me to call them back at 855-668-3551. It is never an actual person calling but a recording (robocall). As BigA stated above, please read the below article from the Federal Trade Commission:
