I got a call yesterday morning from "Sgt. Anthony Williams" that lasted for an hour yesterday telling me I was being charged with 3 felonies for making online medical purchases. He was yelling at me and telling me not to cry and that it wasn't going to help me. It was horrifying and I didn't know for an hour that it was a scam. What made it clear that it wasn't legit, because he even gave me his badge # and said he was recording the conversation, was that he said I had to pay my fine that day for pleading no contest and taking the fine, which he called a "silver penalty". He said I had to purchase 6 prepaid cards for $500 a piece. He had my address and told me there was a Radio Shack less than 2 miles from my house, which there is (he was google mapping my house!) and I could purchase them there. I told him not to contact me again. He called numerous times after I hung up on him but didn't leave a message. Not leaving a message furthermore tipped me off that this wasn't a real situation. These people will rot in hell for doing this to people. They have all your info and scare the crap out of you saying if you don't cooperate you might loose your freedom. It was a horrifying experience and I can't fathom why the government doesn't shut this # down. They are so good that if you call the number back it says "You have reached the San Antonio DEA office...".
