Identified himself as John Allen, and thanked us for our contribution last year. We did not contribute last year or any year.  He asked if the federal officers could count on our support this year and I said no. When he started in on "what we can do is.." I hung up.

Same happened to me, he called stating his name and if he could speak to a manager or owner and he asked if I was the one to talk to and I said no, but I always ask the caller what company they are with and as soon as I asked he hung up.

Same. Called asking for the owner or manager of the business, said it was John. When I asked which business he was trying to reach as this is a personal number, he hung up.
