Got a phone call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

called my cell. per map on reverse call lookup this came from Tx Dept of Criminal Justice in Rosharon, so prob a scam call. Blocked the number.

"Survey," but I think they just want to verify a live number so they can sell it. Didn't leave a message.  Because 281 is my area code, and the number looked somewhat familiar, I called back.  A robotic-sounding automated recording with poor reception stated something about the survey being closed now (they had just called a few hours before), but to press "9" to be removed from the calling list.  Long pause after pressing 9, then stated that my number had been removed.  Probably just the opposite!

called cell no message.
