I just received a call from this number.  I did not answer and the caller left no message.  I have never had an account at National City and the cell number they called is a private work cell.

Called here and I answered.  The man said he was trying to reach a neighbor of mine and he got my number from her directory.  I said I have never even met this neighbor and he hung up on me.

This is a "face" number to a corporate office of National City Bank, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Reason for calling can vary widely, but you should follow up on it and it is legitimately National City. Reasons can vary from fraud monitoring/detection, collections, checking/savings account inquiries, telesales, "Points" info, and general customers service.
