Spoke with a man whose company is a provider for SEMCO energy. Asked if I was on government assistance. When I answered 'no' he said 'great' and that he had info for me to write down on my SEMCO bill. I said I was still billed through Consumers Energy and he said yes but that he was a provider of SEMCO and then we were disconnected ---- or he hung up. When I called the number, I got a recording that the number is not valid.

Same as above, although it was a woman.  They wanted us to go outside  and read the name and codes on the meter.  I talked to SEMCO, AND OF COURSE IT WASN'T LEGITIMATE.  They said the scammers can actually change your provider.  Would the police help?

A man called and wanted to talk to the person in charge of our Semco account. I told him if he was from Semco he would already know who was on that account.....a long period of silence so I hung up. Figured it was a scammer.....

This number calls often and never leaves a message. We don't answer if we don't know who's calling. Name on caller id says "Name Not Found".
