Same basic scam. He/ she actually sent a bogus check ($750.00 over the asking price) to cover the cost of an item being sold and then I was to wire the remaining funds to his "mover".  The check was so obviously fake that I actually chuckled when I received it. He got me with the email since he ask if they were all timber matched.  Answered his questions with detail and was immediately hit back with the basic scam email....I'm away...send check...no need to look...etc.   Guess this person is now asking to be text to grab phone numbers.  Craigslist sellers be warned.  Also check email address first on your search engine of choice to see what comes up.  I usually do this but again this guy got me by asking a legit question when buying home theater speakers.

This guy is unrelentless. I think what they do is try to get your email address because he wants your response to be emailed...so then he has your name..phone number and email address. I figure from there they try to get Spyware on your computer...record your keystrokes to figure out your bank info..they can easily get your birthdate...and then wham! They drain your bank account or steal your identity.
