called but left no message

Received a phone from 267-272-8263 saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. When I called back, a Chinese answers and says this is the offices of Danny Lee. Another friend has been receiving similar messages from IRS only to find out the number was a scam looking to collect money.

It is a scam.

The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.

It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.
