Just got this call in RI on our land line.  My phone showed the number here, 256-000-0000.  

After reading all your comments, I just blocked them.

I'm in Michigan and got this call at 8:30 a.m. on 12/13/11 ..... after saying hello, a young white girl early 20's says...."oh sorry wrong number" and hangs up....Very suspicious.

Does anyone do anything about all these reports?????

Got a call on my cell from 256-000-0000 and got the same female voice saying "Sorry wrong number." and then hung up. I have seen a lot of people say they are in Michigan and so am I. Just a very odd call to receive. I get at least a dozen calls a week from Unknown Numbers. It is to the point I am about to have Sprint give me a new number because of it. It sucks cause I have had this number for over 5 years now, but then again I still get weekly debt collectors calling for the person who had the number prior to me so maybe a switch is in order.
