Yep, same # Number has called me?  I answered it and put it on Mute, and she said Wrong Number lol.  It's one of them Arabian scam companies! FCC needs to start cracking down!

Phone rings, caller id only shows 256.  No other digits.  They call several times a day, almost everyday.  Nothing is on the line when the call is answered.

My wife just received the same call from 256-000-0000. Woman on the other end said "Oops, wrong number" and then hung up.  

We have Internet phone service through Vonage, possibly grouped in with available cell phone numbers (numbers in the local area code that don't have to be physically located there).

I think this is a recorded voice with a computer on the other end collecting valid (answered) phone numbers for telemarketers.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone. I answered and a female on the other end said she had the wrong number and hung up. Seconds later, my home phone rings. Same # on caller ID. I answered and same female voice said she had the wrong number. I thought this was VERY strange because first it was my cell phone, and seconds later, my home phone. I'd love to know what's going on. I am in northern Indiana. The caller ID showed Alabama Call 256-000-0000
