This number called my cell phone today.  When I picked up, no one would respond.  I tried calling it back but received no answer.  

When I called them back, the lady said her name was Liz Franey, I think, from the office of 2-AR.  It sounds like it may be a collection call because she kept asking if the number I was calling from was the number they tried to leave a message on.  I advised her that there was no attempt to leave a message - I answered the phone and no one responded.  She informed me that they are an Asset Recovery and Asset Verification & Employment Verification company.  But she couldn't find my number in their system.  It was possible that I was simply listed as a contact for someone else they were trying to get a hold of.  But yeah - collection company, it sounds like.

This is a collection company. they called me on my cell phone and had a very important sounding recorded message that said something along the lines of

"this is a call for the person who's social security matches the name ----. we have an important business matter. if this is the person please press 9."

I hung up and called it back and a man answered. I gave him my number and he looked it up and said they are a collection company who are trying to collect a debt. Most likely this is a real company but I wont deal with them. I just hung up. I have lost everything i own so i dont realy think there is more they can take from me.

Well a person from this number called, when I answered a machine did exactly what ira notes stated above...when lori finally got on the phone she immediately tried to verify who i was then ask really personal questions about my bank account. This may be a collection agency but i don't know if it a legitimate one. She sounded kind of fishy and suspect.
Even when I tried to google and bing the company nothing came up. I did a reverse on yellowpages.com and it came up as an unlisted residential number. Sounds fishy to me. What about you?
