630-859-9404 called and said I was being sued by IRS and should call 253-271-4513 right away

call came in from this number, message left, indicating IRS calling, and indicated they filing a lawsuit. Called back, some hindu kid answered, wanted credit card number to avoid lawsuit. totally bogus, not IRS. Suggest if call comes in, ask for IRS Id#, all service employees have one.

just had the same call. first thing i did was google search the numbers. instinct told me it was fraudulent. [***]!

Yep, got a call from 718-788-9020 which said to call 253-271-4513. IRS supposedly suing me for underpayment. Ridiculous amount. Said my account, assets, and property were frozen and had liens. To avoid arrest, I needed to get money to pay right away. I asked how was I supposed to pay if I couldn't hang up and if I couldn't get to my account. His stumbling answer gave me pause. I asked for his supervisor. Found it curious both "employees" had East Indian accent. They were threatening me in an unprofessional manner so I hung up and called the IRS 800#, verified I was fine, and then I called my states attorney office, and the local tv station.

By the way, they did provide an IRS badge # IRM3553 and IRM206 which is way shorter than the IRS employee.
