We have only been called once, however, the computer that generated the call said that this was our second, and final, call, and that we were entitled to a rate reduction on our cards. The gentleman who came on line after a two-minute wait, did give me his name, but otherwise only identify the organization as "Cardmember Services", allegedly working for Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Since we have no credit cards, I was immediately suspicious, and asked the gentleman how he got my name, and, apparently, I am listed as a card holder.
