Got a call about a 7000 dollar federal one time loan. Because my taxes are being reimbursed and I also haven't filed for bankcrupcy in the past 2 years. But the man says because I live in wisconsin, and we aren't a tax free state that I have to pay 210 dollar security deposit I'll get back in 10-15 mins after I pay it. Because I'll have the grant. But it seems to bizarre to be true. He says it's under the US government stimulus package and he worked with the US financial department but I got hung up on twice because of "technical problems" and they we're both Indian. Middle eastern is a better term I suppose. But I'd just like to know if anyone else has got this call or been scammed by this or a similar number.

I got a call from the number 253-245-1978 and they said the were the financial department. they said I would get a 7,000 dollar grant from western union if I went to get a green money card and loaded it with 200 dollars.they said I needed to call them back with the card so I could activate something. They were also Middle eastern people. If there is anyone who actually got the money I would be surprised. They asked if I was on food stamps or some thing I responded yes. So far I am searching for something that would make them seem credible but I have not found anything. They just seem like they are playing people. They asked for my account information when I first called.They said I could have it put in my account or get it through western union. It would be nice to have something in the mail with a seal on it saying I did not need to load a card, but just geting the call sound fishy. I never would give my account information out.

I got the same call today, the only difference being they never told me to get a green dot card or anything they said to call that number back in an hour to have it western unioned to me... but when they called me cell the call came through as 85 nothing else just 85 im sacred to call the number back.... help

I just got a call and on my caller ID it says 85 ? And than a man told me everything that was hit said and he also have me the 253 number and said don't worry about calling back and I'll get the 7,000 within 24hrs

I just got the same phone call, but they said it was a grant. I am supposed to get a $200 green dot money card at a convenience store and call them back with the information. I was also told that it was a call from the US financial department. I was never hung up on. Both men I spoke with had a middle eastern accent. I'm curious if this is a scam as well.
