Got a call from (253) 237-9020, stating I had applied for a free iPad and was being offered $100 in gas coupons, $10 Walmart gift card, and $50 from the
"Waka Network." I'm supposed to "walk through" a 2 minute presentation for the bank to qualify for the prizes. They give you a promo code and you have to fill out your name, address, phone, email address, and then give your credit card info to process a $2.99 charge. You get a free trial membership for I think 7 days. You can cancel as early as "tonight" after receiving an email, in which you are supposed to check off that you want the gift cards. I quickly Googled and discovered this to be a scam fraud.
The website looks real and is supposedly secured by both Norton and MacAfee. You get to the offer by typing in "wakanetwork.com" and it does the rest. You then click on "Waka Savings Plan - Assisted Offer" in the center left of the page. You then fill in your promo code and click "Get Started". Then you go through the 3 steps.
I did recently try for a free iPad and remember being offered a $10 Walmart gift card, not too long ago. It's rare for me to do this, but I kept getting the offers from Taco Bell.
