Called and asked for owner by first and last name and knew how to say them correctly.  (Most people ask for the owner by his nickname and don't know how to pronounce his last name.)  Caller said his name was John Snow. Wouldn't leave a number or say where he was calling from.  Said he would be in and out of meetings all day and asked if I was expecting the owner back this afternoon after lunch.  Said he would call back then, it would be easier.

Asked for the owner, but refused to give name or who she was with, claimed they needed to 'send something' but hung up before I got back from answering another line.

Typical telemarketer. Asked for owner by first name, would not leave message, did not give his name or company name.

Using a local number is just the latest attempt to try to fool people into putting them through, since they know that unidentified numbers, out of state, or 800 numbers are a red flag to anyone with caller ID.

I get a lot of telemarketers at the office but this one was really odd, I got this inocent looking number on my caller ID. Before I could even say hello I got a rude sounding "what are you looking for?" then a hang up. pita.
