I got a call from this number. I only know one person in Michigan and this wasn't them. When I checked my voicemail, there was no message from them.

no message.  '248' is Michigan - I know no one there.

This phone number is now disconnected.  I received a phone call from The Breast Cancer Support Foundation asking for a donation.  I confused it with another group and said they could send me an envelope.  When I got the envelope, I checked on the internet and couldn't find anything on them.  In the mean time I started getting many, many calls from this Southfield MI phone number.  My husband answered it once, and it was the above Foundation telling him I needed to send in my donation.  I then checked on the phone number on the envelope 866-825-2728 on this site.  It seems that others are getting these calls, and suspect it's a fraud.

I too received a call from this number and they said they were "Foundation for American Veterans".  I was in a hurry and agreed to give them a donation.  Now they are calling every day.  I am going to look up info for them before sending any $.  Probably another scam.  How do we get them to quit calling?
