I got a call with a recorded voice asking if I was soandso, which was not recognizable since it had two names playing at once.   The recording asked me to put the call on hold and before it could complete I hung up.  This is a new twist to an old scam to use my cell number to make long distance calls on my bill.

No robot will get me to do anything to aid in their scam.  If anyone has any idea where the 248 area code is please post a note with the name.

I've been getting weird calls to my cell. When I call back from a landline it says that its been disconnected!

They left a message saying that it is an important call and asked to call back. I am not calling back until I know who they are.

ha! I just got a call from them, called them back. said it was about an old SBC bill - I've NEVER - EVER had SBC phone service.  She recited the last 4 digits of the Soc. Sec. she had and it wasn't even me!  These people are pathetic.  She said she would take my number off their records.  If I get a call from them again, I'm raising a huge stink.

LOL and the funniest part about that is its illegal for them to even give the ss info.  Their supposed to verify all the acct info by you telling them.
