Called with recorded message....

"Thank you for connecting with us, we will be with you shortly"
repeated about 7 times, then they hung up

Caller ID says "Troy MI"

I called back, found out they are a collection agency.

Said I owed a debt on 20 year old credit card account I've never heard of.

Obviously a scam.

The caller ID came up as unknown. So I called them back on another telephone. They didn't immediacy pickup and have to assume they were running my caller ID through there data base which came up no avail. When they did answer they said hello can I help you?  I asked if they would identify themselves and was told they didn't need to until I identify myself. Then I began to explain the FDCPA and got an immedate response in a mumbled voice of Frontline Asset Strategies, can I help you. I thanked them and said no thank you. Wrong number.
