Got called from this number twice at work. They only say they are from a check fraud division. No information whatsoever. Left me a voicemail, but it was very staticy

It's a scam. Have my wife's old cell phone and number. Somehow they got phone list from wife's workplace and call all employees leaving messages about locating another worker there about pending numerous litigation/charges etc. and needing to get this person to return call to learn about these. Come from different numbers/states on caller ID. What I have heard is if they do reach the person they want a $ amt. sent to them and then they will provide the "false" info.

Called and told me they were putting a warrant out for my son's arrest and needed money today!!!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!
