I called the number back and got a recording saying that it was the Salvation Army trying to reach me and they would try back later.  I donated last year for a hurricane relief fund and they have been bombarding my house and phone.  But they are one of the only few charities that I support because thier leadership isn't getting fat off donations.

They were using 248-218-1171, never answered now they changed to 248-218-1172.

It's the Salvation Army calling for donations in SE Michigan. If you call the number and wait long enough, you hear a prompt to press "1" to be taken off the call list... says it may take 30 days.
