They called from this number for my medical leave of absence from work. They are contracted by employers to handle FMLA, sick and disability claims. They can be contacted by calling your employers HR and then they will transfer you to the person who called you.

This number belongs to Sedgewick Management Services of Southfield Michigan. However, apparently they are not the ones calling; I contacted them and they have no idea.

For the fact that this isn't their number.  This number has been dormant for 3 years; and then one has to wonder why you looked up a number when you claim you knew who called?  Only one reason I could see you doing that is to try to convince people that your scummy boss is not the crook he really is.
