Yet another number used by the scum robo dialing about security systems. Call starts with the usual recording of "The FBI reports..." Apparently they own a block of phone numbers starting with 240-318-zzzz as we have received several today.

They don't purchase blocks of numbers. Often times they use a phone program/device/service commonly known as a "spoofer", where they can enter any number they want to appear on your caller ID when they call. Telemarketers are not supposed to use this, and particular businesses who do use it are generally required to have a permit to do so.

Same as the person who just reported it less than 10 minutes ago...Call starts with the usual recording of "The FBI reports..." hung up after they tried to sell me security systems...

Received a call on my cell phone from this number. Didn't recognize the number, don't know anyone in Maryland, so didn't answer.
