Thanks BuffPuff for identifying the calling source as Wheaton Door and Window. I called their toll free number: (866) 736.1722 and a woman answered. I asked her to put my number on the "Do Not Call" list. She seemed familiar with this request. She said that they would do so. One minute later I got a call from the same number (240-242-5643)! I'm not sure if it takes time for my request to take affect but if it continues incessantly like it has in the past two months then I suggest that you file a complaint with the BBB and post it here: http://www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint/

I get multiple calls a day from this number and this has been on going for two weeks. I don't answer the calls if I don't know who is calling, that is what voice mail is for, screening calls from unknown numbers

Calls from 240-242-5643 sounds noisy in background then hangs up. No messages left!!!

Two days in a row for me. Yesterday was as you describe - noisy background with no message. Today I got a msg - sounded like they thought I was on the line (kept saying "hello" and coughing into the phone).

Same here - five calls in three days. Tonight the calls were just 30 minutes apart.
