In replying to my own comment, I must report an error.  I stated that I received a call
from 240-210-7113 on May 18, 2010.  Actually, I received the call on May 17, 2010,
in the early morning hours.  

My cell phone is blocked from receiving
test and voice messages, and I don't answer my
phone, or return calls I do not recognize.

240-210-7713 calls and when i nicely answer the auto dialer hangs up, its a prompt to get you to call back so they can get to the debtor that way.

So i called this 800 number and got Rashedia she asked for my x boyfriend of 20 some years ago, now mind you a debt that old, why would they bother, never going to see it for sure after 7 its no good anyways. duh! You would think they would know the law and at least be harassing current debt. Well she took my number and agreed to stop calling but within a year they or whom ever they sell the debt to will harrass me again and again. but give it a try it does stop it for a little while. good luck.

Since posting my comments a few minutes ago, I did some research, on the Internet, about
Receivables Performance Management. Their website address (URL) is, receivablesperformance.com.

They also have offices, according to their website, in Lynwood, WA and in Portland, OR.
Their phone numbers are listed below.

However this number calling us, (240) 210-7113, is from an area code in Waldorf, MD.
Also, you can access other links about RPM, doing a Google search, and you will discover
that this collection agency is a scam operation.  Collecting zombie debt, that is, debt that has
expired past the statute of limitations, is a scam in itself, to trick people into paying debt that is
not legally collectible.

However, it is also possible this company, Receivables Performance Management, is not a real collection agency, but simply acting for themselves, and not an actual
client company.  They are just hoping to collect money from someone who is nor particularly alert.

If anyone has old debt that is expired past the statute of limitations in their
state, you should never pay that debt.  The only exceptions is if the debtor made some
type of representations to the creditor or collection agency that they still consider themselves
responsible for such old or zombie debt.

By all means, don't just send these people any money,
without first consulting someone qualified to advise you.

They call over and over everytime I answer it there is no one there. It is so annoying. It has been going on for over a month now.

This is some kind of debt colection agency (or fraud) they call sometimes leave a message that they are looking for so and so and sometimes when I answewr they hang up.
