This number calls several times per day but when I pick up the phone there is no one on the other end. Getting a little on the ridiculous end of the spectrum.

Unwanted calls to your cell phone are illegal and face a penalty of $1500 for each call.
I called this number using *67 to block my number and connected with extension 5 . They still do not say who they are but left a voice message telling them to stop but did not give them my number. If it does not stop soon I have recorded at least 10 plus calls. The lawyers will get a third of my recovery.
