They don't need the name of the calling company. They will use the time of the call and YOUR number to back trace the call to its source. Most all of these scam / spam calls are coming from internet phone systems and the number that shows up on your caller ID system is FAKE or SPOOFED so that YOU can't find them or call them back and harass them - but that is NOT the case with the FTC. They can use YOUR number and back trace these vermin right to their home or business.
Any call whether it is internet based or actually telephone based can be traced back to its source. The key is to report EVERY CALL. If the FTC gets enough complaints they can act on them - not enough and the scum get away with it.
Get on the DNC List and report all of the calls that are in violation - they will prosecute - but if you just go to sites like this and post here only, there is NOTHING that can be done from the FTC standpoint.
