They called and said they were from my Canadian bank and that my VISA card had been used for a $300 eBay purchase and an $1100 western union transfer. I could barely hear them because of static and thick accents. They asked me to go to my computer and press the Windows key, which was super suspicious. When I asked whether they could confirm that they were from my bank, they gave me a long scare tactic about how the RCMP has been notified and fraud is very serious and we don't want to alert the fraudster. They could only give me the first four digits of my card number, which is common knowledge for each bank. I found this very suspicious and they hung up on me.

You have described the call I received this morning - March 22nd. Same tactics, same name, etc. Also in Canada. They're good, but I caught myself before giving anything useful away.

Called from 1-239-574-8866 at 8:00 am NS Canada. Caller with a female, heavy accent, then a male with an accent as well. Stated a purchase was made at 3:00 am on E-bay with my visa. I hung up on the female and then the guy called back, thought he would have better luck I guess. He actually tried to tell me the call was routed through an RCMP detachment in Florida. How much gall do these people have?

yes i did the person scam me telling me my acc had money taken out through western union.

call at 5 am from fraud department informing of charge to western union using Visa credit card, wanting to go to computer to verify, when called the number 2395748866 were informed number was not in service    fraud all the way   probably only are on robo dial

Called at 7 am about my visa. Said he was from the security department.  I dont have a visa anymore.  Card is unusable until i pay it off has been for 2 yearsl. Woke up the baby.
