get at least 2-3 a day.can anything be done to avoid

Get calls from this number frequently - no message left.  All different hours of day.

(239) 555-1234 calls me every single day. I don't think it is a real phone number but simply a spoof. The 555 exchange has been in use by the motion picture and TV industry for as long as I can remember. Must be either debt collectors with the wrong number or selling something. Never leave a message

Telephone numbers with the prefix 555 are widely used for fictitious telephone numbers in North American television shows, films, video games, and other media, although real numbers do exist in this range.
Not all numbers that begin with 555 are fictional—for example, 555-1212 is one of the standard numbers for directory assistance throughout the United States and Canada. In fact, only 555-0100 through 555-0199 are now specifically reserved for fictional use - except for the 800 area code where only 800-555-0199 is reserved - the other numbers have been released for actual assignment.
Area code 555 in the North American Numbering Plan is reserved for Directory Assistance applications.

My first call from this number, identified as 'Directory Assistance'.  Guess from the other entries, I will be getting more of these.  Yet another number to ignore.  I need a phone that I can enter all of these stupid call numbers so it will just not ring if they try to call.  Someone inventing that one would make a fortune!
