I just received my first call from this organization and am happy to find this these postings.  I did go to the SRBI web site...quite impressive overview of such a professional company selling its research capabilities to corporations, news organizations and the government.

Only problem is -- IT IS FATALLY FLAWED!  In this day and age of identify theft and personal security concerns, MOST reasonable people will not participate in these lengthy and personal surveys -- no matter what you tell us on the phone.  THEREFORE, the data the compile is flawed and weighted with the kind of people who'll answer their surveys.  Who are these people?  We need to tell our congresspeople to NOT support these types of surveys.  I assume they're very expensive and know they're totally irrelevant.

This company (SRBI) has called me at least twice a day for the last 3 weeks - I have asked them not to call and then hang up, they call at all times of the day - usually the last call at 9 p.m.  I am on the Do Not Call Register -- which seems to make absolutely no difference to this company!  I want them to stop!!!!!

The calls are from a legtimate group that performs surveys.  They ask questions
relating to a specific topic.  It is rather interesting. They will ask whether you wish to take part. The survey I took part in was on behalf of the Univ. of Pennsylvania.  They will not leave a message on a caller ID.

The calls are coming from the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. You can see their website at: www. NAES08.org
They are not covered under the No Call List and are permitted to call. If you don't want to take part in the survey just tell them when they call and they will hang up. If you have the time, the survey is interesting.  They do not take your name or ask private information.
