Called my cell phone. Only family and close friends know my cell phone number. I did not answer and no voicemail. This indicates it was a scam call.

This called my cellphone, & I got the all too usual "Out of Service" message after 1st checking here. It's the usual sign of a scam call--I've had 4 the past 3 days......

I got a call from an unrecognized Out-Of-State number. No message was left. As usual, I did not answer, and I looked up the number here. (800Notes is my go-to.) Thank you for posting your experience! (Just an hour ago. Hummmmm.) I will be adding this number to my "Telemarketer" contact, which has a silent ringtone and is blocked. (I won't be bothered by this number again.) Out-Of-State Number + No Message = Scamarketer.

Called cell. Answered as it looked close to a relative's number. Recording telling me they we following a Sears card and i hung up. I am sure it is a scam
