Just one of many annoying telemarketer calls I have received since I moved and have a new number. Do the phone companies give our numbers to these places?

Thursday, July 10, 2:05 Pacific Time. I recieved a call from 231-732-2696 & it was a recorded message saying that they have information confirming I am paying too much interest on my credit card & to contact them immediately .. Identified them as MCS Credit Card Services ... I have previously recieved many calls from them I have requested that I be put on their Do Not Call list ... to no avail.

I get a call about once or twice a day from this number; when I called it back one day - what sounded like an "unofficial" operator said the number was no longer in service - if it isn't, then how come they keep calling?
