This is how we're gonna do it guys. Anytime they call you, tell them you want to set up a new warranty. Play along, tell them you'll get your check book info and what not, ask them for a good # to call them back directly. Pump them for as much info as you can get. After you get all the requested info, hang up on them and call back, asking to speak with a manager stating that you want your # removed or you're gonna call the DA of their state and sue their pants off.

I received several calls about the expired warranty on my vehicle. I called them back to ask to stop calling they tried to sell me warranty.
Did not give me their company name. and caller ID showed the number.

Calling back gets a long message about how they got the number from a company you gave permission to call you. For example, an online survey or contest. Be patient, after a minute or two you will have the option of entering your phone number from the company that called you.

The recording warns that many companies contract to use that organization and so you may receive other calls from that number but with other sales pitches.  I guess if we keep removing our numbers, then finally we may get some peace from these constant annoyance calls.

several calls from this and other phone numbers with the same 'your car warranty has expired' on my cell phone - which i've NEVER authorized any company to call.

You don't have to authorize a car warranty company in order to receive these solicitations. I get them and I do not even own a car. Any company that you do business with could have sold your number. It is the same with catalogs and charities, buy or donate from one, get mail from many more.

They just called for the third time in three days. I told them to take me off their list and they said no problem. They were very nice about it. Hopefully they follow through.
