This is straight from the home page of the National Do Not Call Registry: "The Do-Not-Call registry does not prevent all unwanted calls. It does not cove: calls from organizations with which you have established a business relationship; calls for which you have given prior written permission; calls which are not commercial or do not include unsolicited advertisements; calls by or on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit organizations"
That is the number to the Birmingham Museum Of Art. As a tax-exempt or non-profit entity, they can call you for fund raising even if you are on the National Do Not Call Registry. Taking it to the Attorney General's Office won't do a thing. You have to call the Musem and complain and they will stop. If they don't then you have to send a certified letter telling them to stop and then if they still call after that you might get some action from the Attorney General.
