Scam consists of generating these phone calls to drive people like us to search them out using reverse phone number search.

When the number pops up, you're encouraged to sign up for a monthly ID service.  When you try to disengage from the reverse phone number search web site, you get a series of pop-ups offering special deals.

I'll ask the Federal Communications Commission to launch an investigation of them and see if we can shut them down, and perhaps have them fined.

started getting these calls yesterday 11/17/09 at our business. it calls about every 15 minutes if you answer the phone, if you don't answer it calls about every hour. I call the number back and only hear dead air and clicking noises. I already lodged an online complaint with the FCC as irisatrx suggested. if we all lodge complaints hopefully this will stop.
